Gifford Hill has a large site area of approximately 800 hectares with attractive sloping land and significant areas of native vegetation, which will be enhanced significantly. Our landscape consultants are working closely with local native vegetation experts to determine a viable vegetation enhancement and native flora and fauna connectivity programme.
The exciting new Murray Bridge Racecourse and equestrian centre and training estate will create a great opportunity for the Group to design and develop a state of the art facility for horses, trainers and patrons, where safe movement of horses, bio security and efficient use of land are key components. Already we have established an Equine Advisory Committee which involves experts in racing and veterinary services to determine the key parameters of the race course and equestrian centre. The consolidation and sharing of common infrastructure, the movement of horses so they do not conflict with residential precincts or road systems and the development of natural land management techniques will be exciting innovations particularly for those who have an interest or passion for the racing or equestrian industries.
